Strongwell is the recognized leader in the manufacture of fiber reinforced polymer (FRP) composites utilizing the pultrusion process. Strongwell has pultruded FRP composite structural products since 1956 and remains active in product, process, and market development programs. Strongwell produces several products that benefit the marine industry, including, pultruded and molded grating, handrail and fencing systems, structural shapes and plate, structural building panels, and ladders and cages. Strongwell produced DURAGRID Phenolic sets the world offshore standard for Fire Integrity composite grating and was the first FRP grating to meet all requirements of the ASTM F3059 standard for Level 2 areas, which is the basis for U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) Type Approval for FRP grating.
