As the COVID-19 outbreak in India starts to threaten neighboring countries, Singapore has extended its prohibition on crew change ban on crews with a recent travel history to India. A Port Marine Circular issued by the Maritime & Port Authority of Singapore on May 1 says that the following crew change will now not be allowed in the Port of Singapore:

  • Crew with recent travel history to Bangladesh, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka within the last 14 days preceding arrival to Singapore. This includes sign-on crew travelling to Singapore by flight as well as sign-off crew from vessels that have called at Bangladesh, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka.
  • Sign-on crew transiting Bangladesh, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka on their connecting flights to Singapore.
