Vigor wins $8.5 million MSC contract

Vigor Marine Shipyard LLC, Portland, Oregon, has been awarded an $8,562,943 firm-fixed-price contract for a 50-calendar day shipyard availability for the mid-term availability on the USNS Matthew Perry (T-AKE 9).

The contract includes options that, if exercised, would bring its total contract value to $8,821,718.

Work will be performed in Portland, Oregon, and is expected to be completed by March 8, 2021.

The contract was competitively procured with proposals solicited via the beta.sam.gov website and two offers were received.

The Military Sealift Command, Norfolk, Va., is the contracting activity.
